The Stacks began with a simple belief: used books deserve a second life, and readers deserve to find them beautifully. Every title on our shelves is hand-selected, which means no filler and no algorithms. Whether you are after a beloved classic, a BookTok sensation, or a hidden gem, we have done the searching so you can do the reading.

We are based in West Lafayette, Indiana, and we read the same shelves you do - Purdue students and staff, Tippecanoe County families, teachers, librarians, and book clubs across the Lafayette area. Every book is graded honestly before it is listed, and affordable secondhand pricing is the whole point: most of our stock sits between two and fifteen dollars.

The Stacks is also becoming a mobile bookshop. Our bus is being converted into a travelling shop that visits local markets, schools, sporting events, and community gatherings around Greater Lafayette, so the books come to you. If you are not local, orders ship anywhere in the United States via USPS Media Mail.
